I was totally amazed after logging onto PerezHilton.com with all of the information they had against on celebrities. I noticed right when i logged on that it was ‘Hollywood's Most-Hated Web Site!’ The first thing I looked at was the title that was written enormously, ‘Welcome to PEREZHILTON.COM, celebrity juice-not from concentrate. The website had several pictures of celebrities that had comments written on the picture. One picture that I came across was of Brendan Fraser, it said how he was starring in another The Mummy sequel. Also, I was shocked to see how they wrote on top of the picture, ‘fake ass smile’. I think there is a certain limit that people should not cross in regards to celebrities because they are human beings, just like us. Having such websites with all of this bias information should not be allowed because I believe that you would not like it if someone made the same website for you. While I was scrolling down the website, another picture that amazed me was of Britney Spears.
The pictures title was, ‘Britney Could Get TWO YEARS Probation!!!’ Below the picture it said that a California city lawyer ‘is trying to slap Britney Spears with two years probation for driving in the state of California for years without a valid drivers license and for her hit and run in August’. I think that the vocabulary used against the celebrities is totally wrong, such as ‘trying to slap’. The reason why I think this is because I do not believe that celebrities are any different than the rest of us just because they are models or actors. Also, everyone should be treated equally and by creating a biased website in regards to celebrities is totally unfair to them. The website also included a video on the subject of Britney Spears case. Beside the video it said what Britney did, ‘this past weekend isn’t likely to help her case!’ Catch a look at the video on Britney 'running through three stop signs’ Online Videos by Veoh.com
When I looked at Carson Kressley’s picture, I was really disappointed to see that it was under a file named 'Gay Gay Gay’.
And below the picture it said ‘if we looked at Carson Kressley’s Christmas wish list, it would probably include ________’. I am assuming that this was supposed to be a funny joke, but I do not find being so rude towards someone is funny at all. I was shocked to see that this website also had an email address where people could provide them information regarding Hollywood stars who they hate the most. The website was: Perez@PerezHilton.com. I think there is a limit that every website consist of and this website totally crossed it. Allowing these types of websites all over the world crosses the “legal limits” of our society. Everything has a limit, and in my opinion, this website goes beyond the legal limit of immorality. Also, these kinds of websites should not be acceptable because celebrities are humans, just like us.
